Remembering Dr Scott Borrelli

Scott Borrelli, our Psychologist in Centro mar y Salud, died on July 29th, 2010. He was a colleague whom we lost much too soon.

He led a very productive life as a Psychologist, both in the US and in Europe. In his work, I think, he was superior to anybody else. He had a lot of experience in Clinical Psychology and Counselling; he had a Degree in Psychopharmacology and through all his teaching and work all over the World, his knowledge was admirable. His work was extremely important to him. Besides his clinical practice, he was a Professor at the european division of the University of Maryland.                                                                                      

Scott was a warm, energetic person in the lives of all the people he touched. For Scott, mankind was in principle good. He was a positive thinker and believed that everybody, young and old, was capable of changing their lives. He loved his patients and they all loved him. He could make a change in people´s lives.

He was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lynphoma in 2003 and even whilst fighting his illness, he remained optimistic, steadfast and hopeful. He kept on working til a few weeks before he died. He always said that we create our own reality through our own thoughts. Let us create happy thoughts that he was part of our lives.

He leaves behind his partner, his daughter, many good friends and colleagues. We will all miss him.
