She has also been involved in teaching clinical neurology and osteopathic techniques to international medical groups at the European school of osteopathy (UK) These last few years, she has worked in Norfolk, as part of a team led by an Australian osteopath, internationally renowned in the field of paediatric and obstetric osteopathy (treatments of babies, children and pregnant mums)
Clementine has made her job a passion and a vocation and is constantly thriving to deepen her knowledge, reflexion and skills. Her job has taught her to deeply respect the incredible capacity of adaptation and compliance of the human body and life. She has developed a very gentle and precise approach, totally patient-centred. Although she uses all osteopathic techniques, she has a particular interest and training in visceral osteopathy (see below), cranial osteopathy (see below) and the osteopathic care of children (see below).
Living in Andalusia is an old project as half of her family is Spanish and has been settled in the area for more than 40 years. For this reason, she is very keen to spread the knowledge of osteopathy in Spain, as she knows how much good quality osteopathic care can benefit the whole community. Clementine is registered with the general osteopathic council (GOSC, English regulating body) and the Spanish register of osteopaths.
She also has a particular interest in Yoga, which she has practised since the age of 6 years old. She gives Yoga lessons in our centre. She was trained as a Yoga teacher at the Sivananda Vedanta institute, Quebec (Canada). This institute was the first to spread the teachings of Yoga in the Western World. She speaks French, Spanish, and English and is currently learning German.
SOME DEFINITIONS
Visceral osteopathy: whole system of diagnosis and treatment of the tensions affecting the attachments of the internal organs. The philosophy of osteopathy is that any tensions in the structure of an organ will affect its function and vis-versa. Cranial osteopathy: whole system of diagnosis and treatment of the different components of the nervous system. It uses very subtle techniques to correct the dysfunctions in the mobility of those components. Paediatric osteopathy: osteopathy applied to the new-borns and children. It is a very gentle and efficient approach, aiming at re-balancing any tensions created by the birth process and the first few month of life (colic, glue ear…) the growth (teething, postural imbalances due to growth spurts…) and all factors that can be challenging to a growing body (dental brace, sport injury….). Today, paediatric osteopathy is being more and more advised and used (in conjunction with other medical and psychological care if needed) in the cases of hyperactivity, behavioural issues, autism and cerebral palsy.
